Bergamot has a recognisable citrus aroma that is softer and sweeter than many sharper citrus oils, making it a versatile choice for diffusers, inhalation and aromatic blending. For massage or topical use, dilute 3–5 drops in 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–5 drops to cold water, or use 2–3 drops with hot water for inhalation. For bathing, add 5–10 drops to water or a suitable carrier oil before stirring into the bath.
