A warm, aromatic middle note for versatile blends

Clary sage has a distinctive sweet and herbaceous fragrance with a warm character that works well in diffusion, inhalation, diluted massage and bathing. As a harmonising middle note, it also combines naturally with floral, citrus and resinous essential oils, making it useful for creating more rounded aromatic blends.

For massage or topical use, dilute 3–5 drops in 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–5 drops to cold water, or use 2–3 drops with hot water for inhalation. For bathing, add 5–10 drops to water or a suitable carrier oil before stirring into the bath. Clary sage pairs particularly well with lavandin, ylang ylang and myrrh.
