Peppermint essential oil brings a distinctive cool, minty fragrance to diffusers, inhalation blends and carefully diluted body-care routines. Its naturally fresh profile also contains sweeter and lightly citrus-toned nuances, making it useful for adding brightness to more rounded herbal, citrus and resinous essential oil combinations.

For massage or topical use, dilute 3–5 drops in 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–5 drops to cold water, or use 2–3 drops with hot water for inhalation. For bathing, add 5–10 drops to water or a suitable carrier oil before stirring into the bath. Peppermint blends particularly well with chamomile, lime and frankincense.
