A brighter, more camphorous take on lavender

Spike lavender has a noticeably fresher and more penetrating aroma than softer lavender styles, combining herbal and floral notes with green, camphorous character and a slightly sharp finish. Its middle-note profile works well in diffusers, room fragrance and carefully diluted massage or bathing blends, particularly when a crisp herbal fragrance is preferred.

For massage, dilute 3–5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–8 drops to a diffuser, or add 5–10 drops to warm bath water using a suitable dispersant. Spike lavender blends particularly well with elemi, lemon eucalyptus, frankincense and sweet marjoram, as well as lemon and rosemary.

For external use only and always dilute before topical application. Naturally occurring fragrance allergens include linalool, geraniol, coumarin, citral and limonene, which may cause reactions in sensitive individuals.
