Citronella essential oil has a light, crisp and fruity fragrance that works well in diffusers, inhalation, diluted massage blends and bathing. Citronella is also widely used in outdoor aromatic blends associated with helping discourage insects, making its distinctive fragrance a familiar choice during warmer months.

For massage or topical use, dilute 3–5 drops in 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–5 drops to cold water, or use 2–3 drops with hot water for inhalation. For bathing, add 5–10 drops to water or a suitable carrier oil before stirring into the bath.
