Lime essential oil has a sharp, recognisably citrus fragrance with bright, zesty character and subtle green nuances. Its lively top-note profile works especially well in diffusers, room fragrance and aromatic blends, where it can add freshness and lift to warmer citrus, spicy and deeper base notes.

For massage or topical use, dilute 3–5 drops in 10ml of carrier oil. For diffusion, add 4–5 drops to cold water, or use 2–3 drops with hot water for inhalation. For bathing, add 5–10 drops to water or a suitable carrier oil before stirring into the bath. Lime blends particularly well with ginger, grapefruit and bitter orange.

This cold-expressed citrus oil is photosensitive, so avoid UV exposure following topical application.
